Blood Stains
This horror based New Creatives short was messy from start to finish! Director Carrie Battram succeeded brilliantly at bringing some of the gore and horror of a first period to the big screen and we all thoroughly enjoyed bringing her vibrant vision to life.
We shot in a studio in Salford with the wonderful local DOP Esther Vardy. It was a true art department feat between set dresser Will Gale and Prop Maker Clare Johnson - to create a 3 room set, and then turn the bathroom into a blue-blood-oozing-uterus-monster, and all on a very low budget, but we are all so thrilled with the results. Now viewable on iPlayer (link below).

The uterus walls were made from masses of vaseline, paint and wallpaper paste, and the oozing blood was runny blue jelly. Our amazing young artist, Alex Scholes had to be covered in this (rather cold!) blue jelly at the end of the shoot - she took it like a hero!
